18 tips to overcome stress

•Exercise:

Keep unwanted calories away by exercising daily.

 

•Limit alcohol consumption:

Sometimes a drink or two won't harm you, but it all adds up when your health takes a turn for the worse.  Try and limit alcohol consumption.

 

•Quit Smoking:

Use tobacco and not on anti-tobacco advertising.

 

•Get at least eight hours of sleep:

No matter how busy your schedule is, make sure you get a good night's sleep as the body needs this time to recharge itself after a whole day's work.

 

•Focus on self-care:

It's not just how you look, but how you feel.  Pay as much attention to your mental health as your physical well-being.

 

•Travel:

Travel is a wonderful therapy that gives you a break from your busy life.  Whenever possible, go for a small entrance.

 

•Don't be 'too busy':

Stay in touch with people and talk to them.  This will help you reduce stress.

 

•Respect the nature:

Nature is the key to getting peaceful mind, stay by nature's side as possible as you can.

 

•Reduce your screen time:

Try to limit your screen time as it can interfere with your sleep patterns and brain functions, leading to mood swings and insomnia.

 

•Don't let social media fool you:

Don't demand verification from social media.  There is a difference between 'reel' and real life.

 

•Give up sedentary lifestyle:

Avoid sitting for long periods at your workplace or home.  Stand or walk whenever possible.

 

•Learn new things:

Try new things.  Go to the gym, try your hand at pottery, or learn a new language.  This time will help you to relax and boost your confidence.

 

•Passion on perfection:

Avoid completing tasks half-heartedly.  In the end you will try harder and be disappointed.  Take a project that you are passionate about and you will successfully complete it with little effort.  This will increase the amount of your happiness.

 

•Stop overthinking:

Don't overengineer and push yourself on something that will happen in the future.  Live today and focus on the moment.

 

•Give yourself time to recover:

Don't push yourself too much;  Everything takes time and things will get better.  If your last year was not very good, it does not mean that 2022 will have to bear the brunt.  learn to let go.

 

•Practice mindfulness.

Be present in the moment and see positive things around you.  This will reduce stress and anxiety.

 

•Rest:

Take one day at a time and each day as a new day.  Don't run after your goals but plan and take small steps.

 

•Keep your company positive.

Stay away from negative thoughts as much as possible and let only the positives come.
