IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DRIVE IN SUCH SHOES
Slippery, too tight or, conversely, too loose shoes are one of the factors that provoke accidents. According to a study conducted by Ford, flip flops lead the anti-rating of driving shoes: the foot is poorly fixed in them, so moving the foot from one pedal to another takes 0.04 seconds. Twice as much as if the driver were wearing tight-fitting sneakers. In Europe, a fine of 90 to 200 euros is provided for this, depending on the country. The danger is that when moving, flip-flops can simply slip off the foot and fall under the brake pedal, blocking it.
Heels are also far from the best option for driving, because they can catch on the mat and not have time to slow down in time. And, of course, you should not drive barefoot, as about 5.7% of Russians do, according to polls. In an emergency, you will not be able to press the brake pedal with sufficient force.
WITH FOOD AND HEADPHONES
There is no formal ban on eating or using headphones while driving in Russia. The only restriction concerns mobile phones - and even then only on the condition that you hold it in your hands while driving, without resorting to a headset or speakerphone. But common sense dictates that there are better places to listen to your favorite track or a belly feast than the driver's seat.
And this is where many drivers can get indignant, because they are convinced that even with headphones and a burger in their hands they are able to remain vigilant while driving. A recent study by the already mentioned automaker says otherwise. In a dangerous situation, the use of headphones increases the driver's reaction time by more than 4 seconds! Do you know how many meters your car will travel during this time at a speed of 60 km / h? Almost 67 m!
The same applies to snacks - when drinking food, the driver is forced to tilt his head slightly back, being distracted from the road for a couple of seconds. And the fact that while eating it is impossible to firmly hold the steering wheel with both hands is completely unnecessary.
COSMETICS IS PROHIBITED
Many girls realize that wearing makeup while driving is not safe. But they still do it when time is running out. Just think: every year about half a million accidents occur due to the fact that the fair sex decided to tint their eyes or line their lips. By the way, adjusting makeup while driving, you can not only provoke an accident, but also harm yourself. For example, if you paint your eyelashes with mascara while driving through a pit or a speed bump.
