3 Ways To Improve Your Digital Branding.

When it comes to any online content, digital branding is really what will set you apart from the rest. Think about what draws you in and makes you want to click onto a website, it’s the branding, the colours and the text fonts. As much as content is important, the branding has a role to play too. And it’s important to mention that you should be updating and replacing your branding as you grow as a creator.

I completely re-branded my blog in July and have changed my branding several times since then. As you grow as a creator and a person, your style changes and your preferences change too. I always advise other content creators to update and change the themes of their blogs regularly. It’s a great marketing strategy and helps you to keep up with the ever changing pace of the internet.

If you want people to take you seriously and your website seriously, then it’s essential that you take these steps to improve your digital branding. I had no idea how important branding was when I first started out blogging. I just put any logo on my blog and selected any theme I wanted. But now, I know how important being consistent with branding and making sure things look professional is. In today's post I will be sharing 3 tips on how you can improve your digital branding on your website. I hope you find them helpful!

YOUR DIGITAL BRANDING SHOULD BE CONSISTENT

One of the most important things you can do as someone who owns a website or online platform, is make sure your branding is consistent. When you look at big household named brands like McDonald’s or Gucci. Their brand presence is consistent no matter if you’re browsing their website or in their stores. Their logos, colour schemes and all of the little details are the same throughout.

Readers/customers of your website will know you’re a professional if you make sure that your own branding remains the same across all of your platforms. This means making sure you select a colour scheme and use those colours throughout your logo and your website theme. Not only is it important that you make sure your branding is consistent, but make sure you are choosing a colour scheme that suits you and your brand.

CHOOSE A FONT THAT SUITS YOU

One of the first things you should do when considering what you want your digital branding to look like, is making sure you pick the right font. Fonts play such a big part when creating branding as that's one of the first things your audience will see. Is the font easy to read? Is it versatile? Do your font selections compliment each other? These are the questions you should be asking yourself when choosing fonts for your branding.

It's important that you find a good website to choose the right font for you. Design Bundles have such a great selection of fonts for you to choose from. One of my personal favourites is their fancy fonts collection. It includes pages and pages of various different font styles to suit everyone. At Design Bundles you can browse over 150,000 Marketplace Products and save big money on their Curated Design Bundles with up to 96% off the Regular Retail Price. When choosing your font, make sure you’re selecting a few different fonts that compliment each other. Having more than one font choice is a good idea. So then you can have more versatility in your branding.

GET YOURSELF A PROFESSIONAL LOGO

Your logo represents you, and represents your brand. Having a professional logo is a really important step in improving your branding. As already mentioned, changing and updating your logo as you and your website grows is essential. I have had three different logos already on my website. That's three logos since July 2020. Don’t just stick with what you have because it's already there. It’s already a well known fact that logos are important and it’s what sets you aside from other competitors. We all know brand names and associate them with their logos. And that's why it’s important that the logo is right.

Make sure that your logo not only represents your brand correctly and you. But also make sure it clearly represents what your business/blog is about. Make sure the message is clear to your audience. Are you a blogger? Well make sure people know you’re a blogger. Are you a construction company? Why not incorporate something to do with construction on your logo? Your logo is what people will associate you with. You want people to see it and know that it’s you and know what your business is about.

Do you have a logo and branding for your blog? Do you make sure you change it on a regular basis? How important is branding to you?

I hope I got my point across here about how important branding is for your blog or business. Remember that it should be clear and consistent. You should use several types of fonts that compliment your branding. And you should make sure that you have a professional logo to go with everything else.
