When it comes to any online content, digital branding is really what will set you apart from the rest. Think about what draws you in and makes you want to click onto a website, it’s the branding, the colours and the text fonts. As much as content is important, the branding has a role to play too. And it’s important to mention that you should be updating and replacing your branding as you grow as a creator.

I completely re-branded my blog in July and have changed my branding several times since then. As you grow as a creator and a person, your style changes and your preferences change too. I always advise other content creators to update and change the themes of their blogs regularly. It’s a great marketing strategy and helps you to keep up with the ever changing pace of the internet.

If you want people to take you seriously and your website seriously, then it’s essential that you take these steps to improve your digital branding. I had no idea how important branding was when I first started out blogging. I just put any logo on my blog and selected any theme I wanted. But now, I know how important being consistent with branding and making sure things look professional is. One of the most important things you can do as someone who owns a website or online platform, is make sure your branding is consistent. When you look at big household named brands like McDonald’s or Gucci. Their brand presence is consistent no matter if you’re browsing their website or in their stores. Their logos, colour schemes and all of the little details are the same throughout.

Readers/customers of your website will know you’re a professional if you make sure that your own branding remains the same across all of your platforms. This means making sure you select a colour scheme and use those colours throughout your logo and your website theme.
