Raffaello is one of my favorite candies, and I think I'm not the only fan of this romantic dessert. If you want to please your family and friends, especially on the eve of the New Year holidays, then make rafaello at home. A beautiful box of these chocolates can be a nice New Year's gift "instead of a thousand words" or a delicious and festive dessert... "And let the whole world wait..."
Ingredients
To make homemade rafaelo you will need
(per 30 candies):
380 g condensed milk;
250 g of coconut shavings;
50g butter;
30 pcs. almonds;
pinch of vanilla.
Cooking steps
Pour the coconut chips in a deep bowl. Leave a little for sprinkling.
Add vanillin and melted butter to the coconut and mix thoroughly.Add condensed milk at room temperature, stir.
The resulting coconut mixture should be quite thick. Cover the bowl with cling film and leave in the refrigerator, preferably overnight (at least 7 hours).
Meanwhile, prepare the nuts. Pour the nuts in boiling water for 3-5 minutes, so that the skin is easily removed. Dry nuts without skin on a dry frying pan for about 3 minutes.
With slightly wet hands, pinch off a small piece of cooled coconut base for candies, put almonds in the middle and form a "ball", which should be rolled in the remaining coconut shavings. Repeat for all the candies, and then send the homemade rafaelo to cool for at least 2-3 hours.
The homemade rafaelos are insanely tender. They are very similar to the original, the only thing homemade rafaelos lack is a thin layer of wafer inside, it seems to me. But I'm pretty sure that few people can resist trying this romantic and insanely delicious dessert...
Bon appetit! Eat with pleasure and enjoy!
