An appetizer from a glass jar.
Canned salad of broccoli, fresh peas, corn, carrots and bell peppers. Easy to make in vegetable season, perfect as an appetizer for vodka and Russian friends.
Calculate the number of ingredients per 1 liter jar.
Medium-sized onion - 1 piece
Broccoli - 200 grams
Fresh peas and young corn - 50 grams each
Medium sized carrots - 1 pc
Sweet pepper - 1 unit
Water - 1 liter
Sugar - 4 tablespoons
Salt - 1 tablespoon
Vinegar essence (70%) - 1 tablespoon.
Wash all the vegetables and dry it after. Peel carrots and onions, remove the seeds and stalk of the bell pepper. Onion cut into rings, grate carrots on a coarse grater or cut into thin strips. Cut the bell pepper into cubes.
Steam sterilize the jar or treat it with 70% alcohol on the inside. Put the vegetables in a jar in layers, so it would be beautiful.
Prepare the marinade: put sugar, salt, vinegar essence in the water. Put on the stove and bring to a boil. Make sure that all the ingredients have dissolved.
Products should not be cold, so you can put jars of ingredients in a bowl with boiling water. This method will help you avoid bursting the jars when you pour the marinade.
Pour the boiling marinade over the vegetables in the jar, seal with sterile lids, turn the jars upside down and leave them covered with a warm blanket. Wait for the covered jars to cool (approx. 15-20 hours). A week later you can try it. In a week the aroma of the products in the jar will mix and you will be able to appreciate the taste of the snack.
