Apple released iOS 15.1 with SharePlay and macOS Monterey support

iOS 15.1 is the new version of the iPhone OS

The main change in this update is the inclusion of SharePlay, one of the main features of iOS 15. With it, users can listen to songs, watch movies or TV shows, work out together, or share their app screen with friends or family members during a FaceTime call.
SharePlay is currently supported by Apple Music, Apple TV + and Apple Fitness +, as well as Disney +, ESPN +, HBO Max, Hulu, MasterClass, Paramount +, Pluto TV, SoundCloud, TikTok, Twitch and will appear on other services in the future. It works on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV.
Apple has also added the ability to record video in ProRes on the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. ProRes is a high-quality codec used in the film industry and supported by all major movie cameras and editing apps. On the iPhone, this option will allow you to record video at the highest possible quality for editing and post-processing with less compression than the standard H.264 / HEVC codec.
Apple has also added the option to disable the camera's automatic switch to macro mode. Currently, the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max cameras automatically switch to macro mode when the user gets close to a subject. The new update gives the choice to switch to macro mode or not.
Another update 15.1 adds support for the COVID-19 vaccination card in the Apple Wallet app, making it easier to store and make it available for inspection from the iPhone or Apple Watch.
macOS Monterey - new OS version for Macs
New audio and video features in FaceTime make communicating more natural. And Continuity tools like AirPlay on the Mac make it easier to use multiple Apple devices at once. Online Text and Visual Search use new AI capabilities to make finding information easier.
The Safari browser now includes the ability to group tabs together. Quick commands for automating different actions are also available on the Mac.
Later this fall, Mac users will have access to SharePlay in FaceTime and Universal Control. The latter allows you to work on more than one device at the same time. For example, you can control input between iPad and Mac - you move the cursor on the iPad, and it moves with the cursor on the Mac. You can also transfer files from one device to another in one motion.
Apple Fitness+ is a subscription-based fitness service
Apple Fitness+ is designed specifically for the Apple Watch and is available on the iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. It gives users access to the largest collection of fitness content in 4K, including professional workouts, guided meditations and authoring programs led by a team of diverse trainers.
