For many people, coffe is not only a side of drink but is part of lifestyle. Coffee is a beverage brewed by coffee beans that have gone through a roasting process and are ground into powder.  The types of coffee that are widely famous are Arabica, Robusta, and Liberica.  Coffee is the 2nd most popular drink in the world after tea. Not only delicious, drinking bitter coffee turns out to provide many benefits for the body if you drink it as recommended and at the best time.  Did you know at least three dangerous diseases can be prevented by regularly consuming according to the rules.



1.Ward off Free Radicals

 Coffee is rich in antioxidants, these compounds function to ward off free radicals from sunlight, cigarette smoke, radiation, pollution, etc.Free radicals themselves can be harmful to the body if not countered.  Not only can cause premature aging, this compound can also cause cancer. Consuming antioxidant-rich foods or drinks can be one of the easiest ways to counteract it.  However, of course you have to balance it out by eating nutritious food, exercising regularly, using sunblock or sunscreen when doing activities outside the home, etc.

 

2. Prevent Type II Diabetes

Coffee has a substance called cafestol which is able to encourage insulin production in the body. Insulin is a hormone that regulates blood sugar levels in the body.  With the help of these hormones, the body is able to convert glucose into energy or store excess glucose in the form of energy reserves.

 

3. Prevent Neurodegenerative Diseases Like Parkinson's and Alzheimer's 

Coffe is also able to prevent degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. These diseases can cause sufferers to lose memory, decrease nerve function, to dementia.

 This claim was proven by the National Food and Nutrition Institute, Poland in 2016. Their research shows that coffee drinkers have a 65% lower risk of developing Alzheimer's and 40% less risk of developing Parkinson's. On a lighter level, the caffeine in coffee has an effect that can temporarily relieve headaches. In addition to relieving disease, steeping the seeds of this coffea plant can also help you exercise and lose weight.  As already explained above, the effect of chlorogenic acid is to provide energy from burning blood fats.  So it's good if you drink it just before exercising.
