Three dead bodies were found in a well in Haji Kuat area of Barkhan in Balochistan on Monday.
According to the details, among the victims confirmed by residents were Khan Muhammad Al-Marri's wife and two children. They are originally from Kahan district in Kohlu Balochistan but moved to Barkhan due to a military invasion during Musharraf's time.
The victims were held hostage in a private prison by a member of the Burkhan Provincial Council, Sardar Abdul Rahman Khatran. Khan Mohammad's wife recently posted a video message and called for her family's release from MPA Khatran Special Prison.
In a previous investigation through local sources, she also said that she and her daughter were regularly sexually assaulted by Abd al-Rahman Khatran. Khan Mohamed also said in press interviews that his daughter was attacked and that other detained family members were tortured.
Khan Mohammad confirmed the identities of the dead and said that his sons and other relatives were still in the custody of Sardar Khatran. He demanded their immediate release.
Khatran is a member of the Pakistan Army-backed BAP (Balochistan Awami Party) and a staunch ally of Balochistan Chief Minister Quddus Bizengo. Sources also said that since moving to Barkhane, Khan Mohammed has worked as a bodyguard for Abdul Rahman Khatran for more than a year.
He was also imprisoned, but when he was released, he made some quarrels with Sardar Khatran, hence he escaped from Barkhan but his family was captured and taken hostage.
