The price of Squid cryptocurrency soared from 1 cent to $2.34, a 2300% increase over three days.
Its market capitalization now stands at $184 million.
According to the BBC, Squid was created as a coin for a crypto-gaming platform. Its owners need to win six rounds from the series to make even more money.
An online tournament on this platform will begin in November.
The prize pool is not limited to a certain amount, as well as the number of participants.
