Calamari in tomato recipe:
Peel the calamari from the membranes and insides and cut into rings about 1 cm wide.
Heat olive oil in a deep saucepan or WOK pan.
Over a low heat, sauté the finely chopped onion and minced garlic for a few minutes until transparent.
Add chopped calamari and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
Pour in the wine. In a few minutes the alcohol will evaporate. In the meantime, enjoy the aroma.
The tomatoes in their own juice should be chopped with a blender. If you have raw tomatoes, then let them for a few minutes in very hot water and peel them. After that, also chop them with a blender.
Pour the squids with the resulting tomato mixture and leave to simmer on a low heat for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the sauce begins to boil and thicken.
Add green peas, the juice of half a small lemon, mix thoroughly, salt, pepper and leave on a small heat for another 10-15 minutes.
After that, remove the dish from the stove, sprinkle with your favorite greens. Calamari in tomato are ready to serve.
