Chicken steaks in the oven

Oven-baked chicken fillet steaks are a versatile dish that can be served with a salad of fresh vegetables or with any side dish. The steaks are easy to prepare and quite fast, not counting the marinating time. These steaks can be safely eaten if you are a follower of proper and healthy diet. If you want, you can completely eliminate salt from the marinade and slightly increase the amount of soy sauce.


Chicken fillet - 300 gr

Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp.

Wine vinegar - 1 tbsp.

Soy sauce - 1 tbsp.

Honey - 1 tsp.

Salt and pepper - to taste

Poultry seasoning - 1 tsp.

Prepare the necessary products for baking chicken steaks in the oven. Wash and dry the chicken fillets. Pieces of fat leave, since the steaks we will bake in the oven, the fat will not let the filet dry out.

     If you can get chicken filet, great, if it's chicken then cut each piece lengthwise into two pieces so that they are no more than 2 centimeters thick, this way the steaks will bake faster. Place the filet in a deep bowl.

Pour good quality oil, soy sauce and vinegar over the chicken fillets. Sprinkle in your favorite chicken seasoning, a pinch of sea salt and ground black pepper.

Mix everything thoroughly and leave the steaks in the marinade for about 30 minutes. During this time, they will soak up all the flavors of the marinade and due to the wine vinegar will become softer.

     After this time, transfer the steaks to a baking dish, but without the marinade, you can drain it. Send the chicken fillets in a preheated to 180 degrees in the oven for 15-20 minutes on top and bottom heat. During baking, juice will be released from the chicken, in which the steaks will be baked. Then this juice can be used as a gravy for any side dish.

     Soft, juicy and very tasty chicken steaks in the oven are ready. Serve to the table immediately after cooking.
