Classic Pizza With Sausage and Cheese in the Oven

STEP 1: How do you make a sausage and cheese pizza? First, make the tomato sauce so that it will steep a bit, becoming more flavorful and tasty. It also has time to cool.

STEP 2:Peel and wash the garlic and slice into thin slices.

Step 3Hot the olive oil in a pan. Fry the garlic slices on both sides for 1 minute over moderate heat. This will give the oil a tangy flavor. Remove the garlic from the pan. If you want garlic present in the sauce, pass it through a press or grate it on a fine grater.

STEP 4:Put the tomato paste in the pan and stir. Heat the tomato paste for 1 minute over low heat, stirring.

STEP 5:Pour water into pan, stir well. Bring sauce to a boil.

.

STEP 6:Add salt, sugar and basil and stir.

STEP 7:Simmer sauce over low heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove the pan from the heat and cover to allow the sauce to infuse. It will become more flavorful and thicken slightly.

STEP 8:Prepare the pizza dough. You can substitute any vegetable oil for the olive oil.

STEP 9:Sift the flour into a bowl that is the right size so that it becomes enriched with oxygen. This will increase the leavening ability of the yeast.

Step 10. Add the yeast and salt to the sifted flour and mix. Note that you may need more or less flour than I did. Be guided by the texture of the dough. Add extra flour if you need to, and alternatively, add a little more water.

STEP 11:Make a funnel in the flour and pour in room temperature water.

STEP 12:Stir with a spoon first.

STEP 13:Add olive oil to the flour mixture, stir and knead the dough with your hands.

STEP 14:The dough should be smooth, soft but elastic and not sticky on your hands. Wrap the dough in clingfilm and leave to rest for 30 minutes. During this time, the gluten will develop and the dough will become more pliable and docile.

STEP 15:Meanwhile, prepare the ingredients for the filling. You can use any kind of sausage. Use any type of hard cheese that has a good melting point. You can also use mozzarella or melted cheese. The other ingredients for the filling should be chosen according to your wishes. If you do not want to make homemade tomato sauce, you can take regular ketchup.

STEP 16: Slice the sausage into thin slices.

STEP 17:Wash and dry the bell peppers. Remove the seeds and green part of the bell pepper. Slice the vegetable randomly. I cut it in rings.

STEP 18: Shred the cheese on a coarse grater.

STEP 19:Let the dough rise a little, becoming more pliable and soft.

STEP 20:Roll out the dough into a round, forming small rims. You can do this on parchment so that it is easy to transfer the dough to a baking sheet. If you have a special pizza mold, you can use it.

STEP 21:Grease the pizza base with a thin layer of olive oil.

STEP 22:Spread evenly over the cooled tomato sauce.

Sprinkle with a little grated cheese.

STEP 24:Lay out the sausage slices.

STEP 25:Then the bell bell pepper rings.

STEP 26:Spread olives. You can also use olives.

STEP 27:Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top of the pizza.

Bake the pizza in a preheated 190°C oven for about 25 minutes. The edges of the pizza should brown a little and the cheese should melt. The baking time may vary from this as it depends on how your oven works.
