Yamaha MT-15 Price In India:
After the recent price hike, the customisable Yamaha MT-15 costs Rs 1,45,900 for all the paint schemes.
Yamaha MT-15 Features:
The Yamaha MT-15 comes with an all-LED headlamp and tail lamp, whereas the indicators are bulbs. That said, you also have the option of going for LED indicators, available as an accessory for Rs 1,490 a pair. The negative LCD instrument cluster shows the gear position, shift light, and mileage indicator, apart from the other run-of-the-mill information and tell-tale lights. The motorcycle also gets an engine cut-off feature integrated into the side stand. Yamaha has equipped the motorcycle with a single-channel ABS for optimum safety.
Yamaha MT-15 Engine:
The MT-15 is powered by a 155cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder motor producing 18.5PS at 10,000rpm and 13.9Nm at 8500rpm. In comparison to the BS4 model, the new engine makes 0.8PS and 0.8Nm less. The engine is linked to a 6-speed transmission with an assist-and-slipper clutch. The assist function reduces the lever effort whereas the slipper clutch prevents the rear wheel from locking up while downshifting aggressively.
Yamaha MT-15 Suspension & Brakes:
The Yamaha MT-15’s Deltabox frame is linked to a telescopic front fork and a linked rear monoshock. The bike rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped with 100-section front tubeless tyre and 140-section tubeless radial. The latter offers better sidewall strength compared to conventional rubber, thus improving cornering confidence. For braking, it employs a 282mm front and a 220mm rear disc with single-channel ABS.
