In addition to equipping ourselves with a natural cream suitable for the purpose, we can change some of our habits, to really give children relief and prevent, as well as improve the redness of the bottom.
The diaper, whatever it is, is a padding that engulfs our children's bottoms, a really annoying circumstance that can cause irritation.
But how to do it? We can't take it off, some will say.
Let's see together some practical remedies to put in place:
1- Diaper changes are never too many.
This is a very simple basic rule to avoid diaper rash: between one diaper change and another it is better not to let too much time pass and when the bottom is dirty, it is necessary to proceed with the change of the diaper, regardless of the tightness maximum sponsored by the main manufacturers of diapers. The longer a diaper remains, the more a "hood" effect is created which warms the area and leads to easier redness and inflammation. It is always good to change the diaper between two or three hours at the most and instead when it is dirty, change it immediately, as soon as we notice it.
2-Pay attention to washings that increase diaper rash.
As many experts also advise, washing the baby's bottom is essential but water is sufficient in the case of pee only and resorting to wipes, especially when they contain perfuming agents or even alcohol, could further irritate the skin.
3-Cloth diaper great ally.
With the use of disposable diapers there is an increase in body temperature and a consequent increase in the possibility for our little ones to develop irritation. Furthermore, this condition can also lead to other worse risks, both for boys and girls. Cloth diapers , on the other hand, thanks to their fabric composition, make the environment cooler, more breathable and less harmful.
4-Beware of diaper rash cream.
From the '70s onwards, with the mass diffusion of disposable diapers there was also an increase in cases of irritation and one of the first solutions to which it was done, and it is still done today, is the use of cream. At each change, the baby is disinfected and creamed but these two actions taken together could be too aggressive for the baby's skin. Let's not forget that our little ones' skin is very delicate and must be in contact with chemical agents as little as possible, such as those contained in most creams. If it has to be cream, it better be natural!
5-Wash yes but consciously.
It is of fundamental importance to know how to choose the products with which we wash our children's laundry and cloth diapers : eliminate the fabric softener, disinfectant soaps and try to use the power of the water and the heat of the washing machine, with long and with more movements. These precautions will avoid introducing excess chemicals into the fabrics.
All these indications are of course suitable if the redness and irritation of our puppies' bottoms are not linked to other complications. If the irritation does not appear and disappear, it is always necessary to consult the pediatrician, who will thoroughly investigate the causes of the problem.
