Disaster Phenomenon On Earth

Disasters are unexpected events that originate from deep within the earth. All this can happen without the slightest human intervention. Or even because of our own doing. Like continuous mining. And it could be due to improper waste disposal. The following are examples of phenomena that we can see :

1. Hurricane

It is the spinning of the wind so fast that it destroys what is around it. Its appearance can be caused by the instability of nature on earth. Sometimes followed by hot air. Which makes it much more deadly. Its strong vortex is capable of damaging heavy objects such as skyscrapers, houses, to the surrounding trees. Even though it has been arranged with a strong foundation though. The situation is still the same. Luckily hurricanes don't happen everywhere.

2. Earthquake

Occurs due to the collision of tectonic plates. Its increasing power can tear down any building. Therefore, its emergence must be predictable. People usually use seismographs to measure earthquake waves. We can't reach the tectonic plates which are certainly in the interior of the earth. We may need much better tools to detect the arrival of earthquakes. The largest earthquake ever reached up to 7 on the Richter scale. And this alone is dangerous enough.

3. Landslide

The subsidence of the soil layer and what is above it must be dangerous for what is below it. For this reason, it is recommended that people live on higher ground. Usually occurs in mountainous areas. Landslides can be caused by continuous erosion. Unknowingly the layer below is no longer able to support the top. And this continues to the vulnerable part. If only dirt and not boulders rolled away. Maybe not dangerous at all. Sometimes a number of logs from the trees are also carried away. But somehow there were still people living near the mountain.

4. Lightning Flash

The black clouds above the sky that spread along with heavy rain sometimes brought thunder that thundered in all directions. Electricity from lightning is much greater than home electricity in comparison. And it might scorch anything to dust when hit. Depends on how big the intensity. Although it is rare for people to be struck by lightning during a thunderstorm. Because usually they don't want to leave the house. Why skyscrapers are able to withstand lightning is because they have the means to counteract it. In fact, lightning will always follow the direction where the metal is nearby. Like when you see a tower of iron. Never ever have the urge to touch it. Our bodies are also known to have the potential for electricity to flow. And this is something to be aware of. It is highly recommended to take care of yourself when a storm arrives in the house. Even though you have urgent circumstances.

5. Sunami

For those who live near the sea. Tsunamis can be very dangerous. The incident can occur due to collisions into sea water. Like the fall of a volcano or meteor burst. Anything that can increase the intensity of sea water. And if there are other areas filled with water. Then the tsunami will continue for many kilometers away. One thing that is the solution to the tsunami is to create a reservoir along the movement of water. The rush of water is strong enough to destroy and drown anything in its reach.
