Epilepsy!! What is that? How does it come about? Should I be ashamed and hide this disease from others?

Greetings, I decided to dedicate today's post to myself because I somehow feel good and I want to spread that feeling further.

Epilepsy!!

What is that?

How does it come about?

Should I be ashamed and hide this disease from others?

ïŋžI AM EPILEPTIC AND I DON'T SHAME!!!

epilepsy is a brain disease and it can occur as a result of inflammation of the brain (as it was in my case), as a result of a head injury, a blow, a concussion or if it is hereditary in the family... these are only the basic listed causes and who he knows how many more there are without us knowing.

Epilepsy is today a modern disease, let's call it that, and unfortunately it affects young people more and more because young people today are under a lot of stress... from work, obligations, family... life is not what it used to be.

My "roommate" got epilepsy at the age of 8, the cause was brain inflammation.

I live with her as if I don't have her...

Shame? No, I am not ashamed because I know that I am worth the same as a healthy person.

In order to reduce the number of seizures a little, a healthy lifestyle with plenty of rest and sleep and without nervousness is necessary, which is most important because epilepsy is also a disease of the nerves.

along with the specific therapy that your neurologist gives you, it is important that you eat healthily and do not drink alcohol.

You record the EEG as many times as the doctor tells you, and if you write, remember the seizure number... this is important because this is how the course of the disease is monitored... whether it has progressed or not.

I hope that there are more of us for whom the course of the disease has regressed, i.e. the number of attacks has decreased.

I have been living with epi for many years and I can say that I have completed my study of it through all my experiences.

Should you be ashamed and hide that you have epilepsy?

No why?

many children don't even know what it is... so if you have a child who has an epileptic friend, teach him what it is and how to provide first aid in case his friend has a seizure.

First aid for epilepsy

put the patient on his side, don't put your fingers in his mouth because you can hurt yourself... the patient can bite your fingers.

Take out the patient's tongue with a blunt object or, as in my case, do nothing.

Let the person recover or call 911.

seizures are different from person to person... not everyone is the same. Some fall into a coma, some immediately regain consciousness, some are violent... there is a lot of it. But my dear people, you are expected to support us in every sense and to help us if we need it.

when I have an attack, I just push myself on my side and everything passes, except in some cases when I needed my husband's help.

Should I hide or should I tell everyone publicly?

Don't close yourself off and say you're worth less...we're worth the same, only our brain sometimes "runs" a little in the wrong direction.😄

I would like to say hello to all epileptics and associations that were founded for us!!!

OUR DATE IS 26.3!!
