The first information about the next game in the Far Cry franchise has appeared on the web. A reputable insider claims to have received the information from the anonymous Ubisoft employees. It turns out that now there is work on Far Cry 7 game. At the same time the developers don't look at the Far Cry 6 scores and sales, which has just been released. The creators of the shooter know about its success, but are going to change the formula. The main difference between Far Cry 7 and Far Cry 6 game will be the emphasis on the online, that surprised the fans, who like this series for the single story campaign.
According to the insider, the Far Cry 7 shooter will be built around online modes. It is still unknown whether we are talking about session battles in the style of player vs. player, the cooperative passing or more global variants in the style of GTA 5 Online. This decision is explained by the need to shake up the series, the main gameplay mechanics of which have not changed for many years since the Far Cry 3.
Far Cry 6 shooter was released on October 6 on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. The Far Cry 7 game has not yet received a release date, but the release definitely won't be until 2023 at the earliest.
