THERE WERE APPROX 500 STUDENTS IN EACH FLOUR WITH A TOTAL OF 4 FLOURS IN THIS COACHING INSTITUATION
A fire broke out at a coaching institute in Bhandari House in Mukherjee Nagar area of Delhi on Thursday, June 15, 2023
• The fire started from the electric meters installed on the ground floor of the building
• Around 200-250 students from different coaching centres were attending classes at the time of the incident
• The students had to escape using windows and ropes to save their lives. Some of them suffered minor injuries while climbing down the building
A total of 11 fire tenders were pressed into service and the fire was brought under control
• The Delhi High Court took suomotu cognisance of the fire and asked the authorities to examine the safety status of all such institutes in the city
• Two coaching institute operators were arrested and later released on bail in connection with the case
Fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flames. The area turned into ashes till the flames were doused. A vehicle also got scalded in the fire. However, no injuries have been reported so far
The High Court has issued notices to the Delhi Government, Delhi Fire Service, MCD, and Delhi Police seeking their response. All the agencies have to file a reply within two weeks
per the initial information, fire broke out at 12.30 pm and in a image shared by the fire department, people, mostly students, can be seen being rescued by the firemen through the windows. The students present saved their lives by rappelling down by using wires from the windows and balcony of the third floor. There are reports of injuries
There are reports of injuries but I couldn’t find the exact number of students injured in the fire at Mukherjee Nagar coaching center

He says -- he sees the bursting of electric meter in ground floor as soon as the meter blasts the fire runs to all 4 floors due to short circuit in wires as soon as students sees fire they becaume panic and becuase of this 5-8 students ran and jumps due to which they suffers from injuries like bone crack etc then i hits the window with shoulder and breaks it and thats how the students were able to escape this dangerous situation
