Ingredients :

500g fresh Hilsa fish

2 tablespoons mustard oil

1 tablespoon mustard seeds

2 green chilies, finely chopped

1 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 teaspoon red chili powder

1 teaspoon cumin powder

1 teaspoon coriander powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon grated ginger

4-5 tablespoons mustard paste (prepared by soaking mustard seeds in water and grinding them to a smooth paste)

 

Instructions :

Clean the Hilsa fish thoroughly, removing scales and gills. Make shallow cuts on both sides of the fish to allow the marinade to penetrate.

In a bowl, mix turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, and grated ginger to form a smooth paste.

Coat the fish with the spice paste evenly, ensuring it reaches the incisions. Let it marinate for 15-20 minutes, allowing the Flavours to infuse.
