Charlotte is everyone's favorite dessert, which is a pie made of sponge-cake dough and apples. It is believed that charlotte appeared in France. Although there are its analogues in other European countries, including Russia. The traditional apple muffin is made very simply and from available ingredients. It is especially relevant in the autumn harvest period. In addition to apples, berries, pears and other fruits are added to the muffin. The most important thing in the preparation of charlotte is to whip the biscuit dough well.
STEP BY STEP RECIPE:
Wash the chicken eggs and apples. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
START COOKING:
1.Break the eggs into a deep bowl. Add the sugar and salt.
2.Beat the eggs with the sugar until they are foamy.
TIP:
Use a handheld electric mixer to whip the eggs until very fluffy. But if you don't have one, a regular whisk will suffice.
3.Add 1 cup of sifted flour to the egg mixture.
TIP:
Sift the flour to oxygenate it and avoid lumps.
4.Mix the egg mixture and flour well until smooth.
5.Remove the core of the apple and cut it into large 1.5 cm cubes.
6.Add the apples to the batter and mix gently with a spatula.
7.Grease a baking dish with butter and place the batter with the apples. Bake the charlotte in the oven for 20-30 minutes.
TIP:
Check the readiness of the charlotte with a wooden skewer - if the skewer comes out dry, the charlotte is cooked through.
8.Remove the finished charlotte from the mold and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Bon appetit!
