How to cook shrimp at home

1. Defrost the shrimp (you can rinse them under a little warm water - they will thaw faster).

2. Pour a little vegetable oil (olive oil is fine) into a large Teflon skillet. Heat oil on high heat and place shrimp in it.

3 Keep the heat on (the whole cooking process on high heat). Fry the shrimp without a lid, stirring occasionally with a wooden spatula until the water has evaporated (about 7 to 10 minutes). In the meantime, finely chop the garlic.

4. When the water evaporates, and shrimp lightly brown: salt, pepper to taste, add garlic and cover. Stir in 5 minutes, cover and cook until the shrimp have the desired crust (I wait another 3-5 minutes).

5. After turn off the heat, let them stand for another 10 minutes under the lid. Slice lemon or lime into plates (to pour over them just before eating).
