How to deal with anger issues ?

Anger is an emotional state that varies in intensity from mild irritation to intense fury. Like other emotions it is accompanied by physiological and biological changes. Anger can be caused by both external and internal events. Here are the tips to deal with anger issues :

1. Recognise the warning signs .

Some warning signs are :

3.sweating

4.tight chest

Acknowledging that you feel angry and identifying the emotions you're feeling can sometimes help to reduce the intensity.

2. Write it down

Β Sometimes writing stuff down can help you work out why you're feeling angry and how you might be able to deal with anger issues . This method will allow you to express your feelings while reading over your words will help you to put things in perspective.

3. Count to 100.

This method helps in releasing stress and calming the nerves and is also helpful for anger management. It gives you ample time to gather your thoughts and make an intelligent decision.

4. Take a break.

Whenever anger overpowers you it becomes difficult to deal with the situation in a productive way. If you feel yourself losing your cool then walking away is the best option. You'll deal with it better when everyone including yourself is feeling calmer.

5. Exercise.

Exercise is an awesome way to let off steam. It helps in distracting the mind and keeps anger at bay. You could take a walk around , go for a run etc.

6. Talk to someone.

Talking to someone you trust about how you're feeling can take a weight off your shoulders as well as your mind. Communication really helps as it enables us to see matters through different points of view and also makes us realise how catastrophic uncontrolled anger can be.

7. Take time to relax.

Hobbies can help in channellising anger into creativity. If you know what helps you to relax you'll find it really useful whenever you're feeling angry. Take some time out to do something you enjoy , it could be :

1.going for a walk in the park

2.reading a book

3.trying some meditation

4.listening to music

8. Acceptance

Accepting a situation does not mean that you are avoiding or escaping it. Moreover even though acceptance begins as a strategic tactic to turn away from stress it gradually turns you towards your soul . That's when your acceptance will give way to compassion. Compassion can make you forgive your worst foes and rise above your worst fears. An ancient Indian aphorism suggests that where there is anger there is sin but where there's forgiveness there's 'Him '.

Forgiveness will energise your creative momentum. Just like the processing speed of your computer increases when you delete old files so too your creative force enhancedwhen you erase weighty thoughts from your mind. Finally your acceptance , tolerance and compassion will remind you that you do not have to win every battle. Acceptance does not mean not acting. It is not at odds with engaging.
