How to make Achari Mutton Curry at home?


 2-4 servings
  1. 1 kg mutton in bone
  2. 1 glass water
  3. 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
  4. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  5. 1 teaspoon salt
  6. For achar masala:-
  7. 1 tablespoon cumin seeds (zeera)
  8. 1 tablespoon fenugreek seeds (methi)
  9. 1 tablespoon mustard seeds (rai)
  10. 1 tablespoon coriander seeds (dhaniya)
  11. 1 teaspoon nigella seeds (kalonji)
  12. 1 tablespoon red chilli powder
  13. Other ingredients:-
  14. 1/4 cup oil
  15. 4-6 Kashmiri dry red chillies
  16. 2-3 springs curry leaves
  17. Pinch orange red food colour
  18. 1 tablespoon coriander leaves for garnishing
  19. 1 lemon juice
  20. as required Serve with salad & kulcha (see recipe)


  1. Firstly wash & clean mutton add water, salt,turmeric powder,ginger garlic paste and cover the lid cook until mutton is tender a bowl separate the soup & drink it or add more water & veggies for soup.besides blend a fine powder of all achari masala ingredients.

  2. Next take a Kadhai add oil & curry leaves with dry red chillies sauté for a minute and add the boiled mutton and fry until color changes gradually add all achari masala powder prepared mix well then add lime juice,coriander leaves,food color.cook for 2 more minutes & remove it..!

  3. Our deliciously awesome achari mutton is ready to serve…!
