How to make shorshe Chingri at home?

Ingredients

 4 people
  1. 10-12 medium prawns
  2. 2 tbsp mustard seeds
  3. 2 tbsp mustard oil
  4. 1/2 tsp salt
  5. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  6. 1/4 cup grated coconut
  7. 2-3 slit green chillies
  8. 1/4 tsp sugar

 

Steps

  1. Soak black mustard seeds overnight and the next day makes a paste with 2 green chilies and salt.

     
  2. Take a tiffin box and place the prawns and add the mustard paste, 2 tbsp mustard oil, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder,1/4 cup grated coconut, 3 slit green chilies, sugar. Marinate for 10 minutes.

     
  3. Place the tiffin box in a big pot with boiling water up to half of the tiffin box depth. Steam for 15-20 minutes and sprinkle mustard oil just before serving with rice.
