Insiders: Motorola Moto G71, Apple MacBook Pro, OPPO K9s, Microsoft processor

In this issue of Insider: Microsoft develops its own processor; Motorola prepares two 5G smartphones for release; new MacBook Pro may get "bangs" for a webcam; retailer releases OPPO K9s press renders.

Microsoft is developing its own processor

According to current insider reports, the company has started to develop its first "home" CPU model. This assumption was made based on a vacancy that appeared on the company's website: Microsoft is looking for a chief SoC architect in the Surface division. The details of the work are not specified: perhaps we are talking about the optimization of third-party SoC in the composition of ready-made devices.

Any official statements confirming the start of work on proprietary chips, the company has not yet published.

Motorola is preparing to release two 5G smartphones

In the near future, the brand will expand its branded series of smartphones with two new products. The first of them, called Moto G71, has been certified by the FCC regulator. It is known that the gadget will receive a battery capacity of 5000 mAh, NFC-module for contactless payments and a 3.5-mm headphone jack. In addition, insiders are reporting on the upcoming release of another novelty Motorola - the Moto G51 smartphone. The device is attributed a Snapdragon 750G processor, 4GB of RAM, and the Android 11 operating system out of the box. The release date and price of the gadgets is still unknown.

New MacBook Pro may get "bangs" for the webcam

According to network sources, one of the next generations of Apple laptops will presumably have a cutout in the display for the front camera and its status indicator. According to one of the company's patents, Apple engineers will consider the design of the screen so that the inactive area does not interfere with the main area of the matrix. To the left and right of the cutout there will be additional areas that will display monochrome elements. It is possible that this is the screen design that will be used in the MacBook Pro 14-inch and 16-inch diagonals. In the macOS Monterey operating system, screen resolutions of the new gadgets were also found: 3024x1964 and 3456x2234 pixels for the 14-inch and 16-inch models, respectively.

Retailer published OPPO K9s press renders

Shortly before the presentation of the new OPPO smartphone, the Chinese online store has posted on its website several detailed images of it. Judging by the renders, the gadget will get a fingerprint scanner on the side edge, as well as a 64-megapixel main camera sensor. OPPO K9s is attributed a 6.59-inch display with 120 Hz refresh rate, 4,880 mAh battery with support for fast 30-watt charging and an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor. Announcement date and price of the novelty is still unknown.
