It was more awesome than Silent Hill!

This mystical story happened in Karelia. Not only was there the very case where people watched for 10 minutes as an unknown thing from the sky was punching holes in all the windows of the city (yes, this fact is easily googled and even CNN sometimes mentions it), but there are plenty of swamps, which contribute to the development of the local brickyard. No Baskerville dog seems to have been encountered there yet, but the following happened once.

Went once to visit my grandfather in Belomorsk, chose a train to move (about 8 hours). The part of the trip goes through the bogs, and there are uncountable amount of them in Karelia. Everything was fine, until we passed the town of Medvezhegorsk. There we began a total cramp! And witnesses of this event were all passengers who were sitting in the train.

As soon as the train entered the swamp, all the windows began to crawl into the fog, which already forced an active relief bricks. I quickly closed my window and watched what was going on. It was more awesome than Silent Hill! But that wasn't all! Then some kind of singing began to break out in the carriage!!! It wasn't the clanking of iron, it wasn't the crying of a baby! It was singing. Something incomprehensible, but insanely creepy. All the passengers started cheerfully handing out bricks to the mountain, the grandmothers started praying to their God, even the grown men were clearly out of their minds. I just crammed into a corner and stared like a fool at my neighbor across the street, who in turn stared blankly into the fog.

I don't know how to describe the feelings I was experiencing. The best part was, it wasn't pure fear. I was both scared and curious in absolutely equal measure. But suddenly all the interest wore off, and all that was left was fear. I decided to look out the window myself, and I almost screamed at the top of my voice! Through the fog I could clearly see the gray silhouettes of people! That's what my neighbor was looking at so intently! It was some kind of legion of ghosts, staring at us without moving! I couldn't take my eyes off that sight! Just imagine: you're on a train, there's fog all around you - there's a droning woman singing, and there's a legion of gray silhouettes in the window! It was 10 p.m., dusk! No sun!

The train was moving as fast as it could, and it was even rocking a little. Apparently, it was the first time the train drivers had ever experienced anything like that before... It lasted about 20-30 minutes. Then the fog dissipated, the usual, boring Karelian forest began, and along with it, the singing and the silhouettes disappeared.
