Date of birth of Ivan the Terrible – August 25, 1530.The young monarch remembered his childhood with endless palace coups, intrigues, violence, and a fierce struggle for power. Such a situation could not but affect the character of the young man, he became more and more violent. At that time, his trustees did not consider it necessary to pay attention to the heir to the throne, they were playing their game, settling scores with his friends, Ivan himself was kept in a "black body". He lived practically in poverty, he did not have enough food and necessary clothes. This is what gave rise to the makings of cruelty and aggression in him, which was immediately manifested in his massacre of animals, and subsequently with the Russian people.Despite such a situation at court, Ivan studied a lot, read books, and subsequently he received the status of the most well-read ruler of that time. And at the same time, he did not decide anything himself, he was still held hostage by the rulers of the country. This was reflected in the hatred of the whole world, and the desire to get power at any cost, and full and unlimited, which, in his opinion, did not need any moral laws and codes.

                       

After reaching the age of majority in 1545, Ivan could rightfully reign. The first political decision of the young tsar was the desire to get married to the kingdom, and after that he could rule the country and follow the traditions of Orthodoxy. In addition, the presence of the royal title had a very beneficial effect on Russia's foreign policy, because now it acquired a completely different status in terms of diplomatic relations with Western European countries and became a leader among other European states.

Over the next ten years, Ivan the Terrible was engaged in global reform. He initiated the zemstvo reform, became the founder of a new judicial system, which tightened the life of the lower class, introduced a gubernatorial reform, which was supposed to redistribute the powers of the governors, assigning the main role to the nobility.

Ivan the Terrible died on March 28, 1584 in Moscow. It happened while playing chess. The cause of death was overgrown osteophytes, due to which he rapidly lost mobility. In addition to a serious illness, death could be triggered by nervous shocks and an unhealthy lifestyle. He was only 53 years old, and outwardly he looked like an ancient elder.
