Kefir - 1 cup

For my generation, the recipe for Zebra Cake was part of the school home economics curriculum and was one of the first entries in my cookbook.
Most of the time for this cake I make kefir batter, and I don't always decorate it in any way, and if I do, it's minimal and mostly with chocolate frosting.
To prepare the cake "Zebra" prepare: flour, butter or margarine for baking, eggs, kefir, condensed milk, baking powder, sugar, optional vanilla sugar and cocoa.

Melt the margarine and rub it with the sugar.
Melt margarine and sugar.
Add the kefir, condensed milk, eggs, mix and beat a little.
Add the kefir, condensed milk and eggs.
Pour in the flour and baking powder and stir.

Divide the dough into two equal parts and add the cocoa to one of them.
Halve the dough and add the cocoa.
Pour the batter into the baking dish with a spoon, alternating white and chocolate batter.
Stir in both types of dough.
Bake at 180-200 degrees until done (about 45 minutes), depending on the properties of the oven and the size of the mold.

For the frosting, I combined sugar, carob (you can cocoa) and sour cream in about equal parts.
Combined the ingredients for the frosting.
Stirred them together and brought the mixture to a boil while stirring.
Frosting for the Zebra.
Cover the surface of the Zebra with chocolate or other icing.
You can leave the frosting on the cake as a smooth glossy surface or make waves - just fork it over.
My cake is ready.
