Kimberly Noel "Kim" Kardashian (born October 21, 1980 in Los Angeles, California) is an American entrepreneur, reality television participant, influencer, model and actress.
Family background
The Kardashian family is of Armenian descent, though Kim's grandfather was born in the United States. Her paternal great-grandfather was born near the then Armenian, now Turkish, small town of Kars in the village of Karakale.His parents belonged to an ecstatic subgroup of the Molokan Christian Orthodox community. Kim Kardashian's father, celebrity lawyer Robert Kardashian (1944-2003), was a close confidant of former football player and actor O. J. Simpson and a member of the defense team at his murder trial. Her mother Kris Jenner (formerly Kris Kardashian) comes from a long-established American family with mixed English-Scottish-Irish-German-Dutch roots. Kim Kardashian is one of Caitlyn Jenner's stepdaughters.
Career
Kardashian first became known in 2007 through a private sex video published by the Vivid Entertainment Group, which shows her together with singer Ray J. She later dropped the civil lawsuit she had filed against Vivid Entertainment in exchange for a payment of five million U.S. dollars. After she posed semi-nude on the cover of Paper magazine in 2014, sales of the sex video increased significantly. Kardashian's career also took off in the fall of 2007.
In the fall of 2007, the first episodes of the family reality soap Keeping Up with the Kardashians aired, primarily about Kim and her siblings Kourtney, Khloé, and Robert Kardashian, as well as her half-sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner. Together with her sisters Kourtney and Khloé, Kim Kardashian runs the fashion boutique chain "D-A-S-H" and launched a fashion collection called "Kardashian Kollection."Her mobile app, the mobile game "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood," generated about 40 percent of her total income in 2015. In late June 2020, cosmetics company Coty announced a $200 million investment for a 20 percent stake in her cosmetics company KKW just a few months earlier, Coty had acquired a majority 51 percent stake in Kylie Cosmetics from her half-sister Kylie Jenner.

Private life
Kim Kardashian lives in her birthplace and hometown of Los Angeles in the Bel Air district. She was married to music producer Damon Thomas from 2000 to 2004. Between 2007 and March 2010, with an interruption in 2009, she lived in a relationship with football player Reggie Bush. The second marriage took place on 20. August 2011 with basketball player Kris Humphries, from whom she already filed for divorce on October 31, 72 days after the wedding, due to "irreconcilable differences. Philanthropy
On May 30, 2018, Kardashian was invited to visit U.S. President Trump in the Oval Office of the White House to discuss prison reform and sentencing. Kardashian advocated for the pardon of a 63-year-old African American woman sentenced to life in prison for drug offenses. A few days later, Trump shortened the woman's prison sentence, allowing her to go free; she now models for Kardashian's shapewear fashion line Skims. In April 2019, Kardashian announced in an interview with Vogue that she was doing a four-year internship with a lawyer, with the goal of passing the bar in 2022. Kardashian wants to advocate for people in prison who would have paid back their debt to society. The idea of becoming a lawyer came to her when she was advising the White House on the pardon system. As she sat there with judges and lawyers, she wanted to know more so she could better help people. She initially failed the first state bar exam in 2021. In December of that year, after previously failing three exams, she passed the first major bar exam. She then went on to become a lawyer.
In November 2021, Kardashian funded a charter flight for Afghan female soccer players and their families (130 people in all) to take them from Pakistan to the United Kingdom.
