KLIP ( one of the India's largest project )

Clean water is plentiful in India but mostly, the government fails to reach this water to all the farmers of the country.

It is most important that more networks of rivers should reach the farmers.

To solve this problem, Telangana state in India solved the water problem of the farmers of the state under KLIP i.e. kaleswaram lift irrigation project.

There is a huge difference in the height (from the coast) to the south western and western areas of Telangana, that is, the water of the rivers flowing in the eastern areas of Telangana can never go to the western areas, due to which the land in the western region is not so good. Farming cannot happen.

To solve this problem, the water of the eastern rivers was pumped to the western areas to reduce the need for water there.

In the KLIP project, a total of more than 37 lakh acres of land will be irrigated.

Under the project, water will be moved from one barrage to another.

Many barrages have pumps that consume several kilowatts of electricity, which will pump water up to several meters.

According to sources, 240 T MC (thousand million cubic feet or 28316.85 million liters of water) will be brought from rivers through baraage, out of which 160 TMC will be used for irrigation, 30 TMC for Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, 16 TMC for industries. So 10 TMC will be useful as drinking water.

The total cost of the project is more than 80000

To run all the pumps in the project, 4627 MW of electricity will be consumed, more than 13 districts will become beneficiaries of this project.

The KLIP project itself is a sample of unmatched engineering, the name of many things has been recorded in the project, such as, India's name is emerging in the world's largest baraage, and Asia's largest tunnel is also built during this project. .
