Living with Christophe

Mark Haddon has written an excellent book that has become a bestseller and has won both the Whitbread Book of the Year and the Whitbread Novel Awards. As Mark Hadden himself drafted the book, "Who on earth would want to read about a disabled fifteen-year-old boy?" Is said to have said. Little did he know that the exactly fifteen-year-old disabled boy had made his book stand out, won awards and become a bestseller. The title of the book is "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and the Boy Is Christopher."

Christopher is an autistic-savant. He can name all the countries of the world and their capitals. He has photographic memory and talent in mathematics and science. Despite his extraordinary intelligence he could not imagine, could not understand the figures of speech and was associated with jokes. Most people and people do not even like places where he touches himself. Autistic-savant individuals exhibit common symptoms in those with autism and savant syndrome. Autism is a disorder that is affecting more and more people in the autism spectrum disorder. This condition is mainly characterized by weaknesses in socialization, imagination and communication. Sawant Syndrome is characterized by very little general intelligence, but generally an unusually narrow mind in the fields of mathematics, music, the arts, and memory.

In the story Christopher's parents break up. Her mother decided to leave Christopher and her father because she could no longer bear the demands of raising an autistic child. Parents caring for special children, those with autism, may have higher stress levels than most parents. The main reason for this is that their children have special demands, unusual behaviors and different abilities than other children of the same age. These children have a lot of trouble communicating and, therefore, may have unusual reactions. An example of this is when an autistic child cries and beats himself up for no apparent reason. Most likely, something bothered him, but he did not know how it was. Some autistic children with sensory integration problems may be hypersensitive or hyposensitive to touch, stress, movement and sound. They show certain behaviors that are sometimes difficult to understand, such as avoiding certain types of food and drink, pinching or hitting, repetitive movements and yelling. Some of them are strictly adhering to certain routines and may be afraid of new places or people. Adjusting to these children’s needs and dealing with their behavior is not easy and, therefore, can lead to a lot of stress.

Autism is a disorder that is affecting more and more children. They thrive on security and avoid those that are considered a threat to their safety. However, many aspects, conditions and demands of the society make them insecure and forcing them to deal with it worries them a lot of the time. Unknowingly and unknowingly, children with autism are constantly anxious for anything new or anything beyond their comprehension. As in the book, when Christopher had to move out of a city he knew, he became physically ill and frightened. Unlike many children, people with autism are not easily adapted to new environments or situations. The process of learning to understand and accept what they already do not know can lead to a high level of anxiety.

Although coping with and coping with autistic children may seem like a daunting task, much has already been studied and published about proper management that can reduce not only child anxiety but also their parental stress. Some techniques, such as Cognitive Behavior Modification, Behavior Modification and Environmental Modification, have been shown to be effective in changing inappropriate behavior and improving the learning skills of children with autism. Some people, who have complications other than autism, may need additional treatment as advised by a doctor. Autistic children, who suffer from manic depression due to accidental entanglement in their self-defense behaviors, may need more treatment than previously described. It is advisable to consult a psychiatrist in this situation and other medications may be prescribed.

Christopher's story ends with him being able to overcome the challenges that worried him the most and his mother deciding to come back to look after him. Like this fantasy novel, it can also be achieved in real life when dealing with tension and anxiety between families who have to deal with the situation. Stress and anxiety in parents and autistic children can be effectively addressed through proper management, medication or treatment.
