Three Mossad agents have committed suicide over the past year. Two of them committed suicide at the Israeli intelligence headquarters. The practice of the Zionist intelligence agents taking their lives was revealed by local media, Channel 12. Their families are now asking Mossad to admit their responsibility. Mossad is Israel's intelligence agency for operations abroad. This agency has been in international media coverage for claiming to have succeeded in infiltrating and stealing the archives of Iran's nuclear program.
"Two agents committed suicide at Mossad headquarters," Channel 12 reports.
It is not yet clear why the intelligence agents ended their lives. However, the families of the victims argue that it was work for Mossad that prompted them to commit suicide.
"Their families are now fighting for Mossad to admit responsibility for the suicides," continued channel 12's report
According to the media report, Ayalon Shapira was the first officer to commit suicide on March 26, 2020. His father cited psychological problems as the cause of his son's suicide. According to him, his son had gone to a psychiatrist. The second suicide was recorded three months after Ayalon's death. Another Mossad agent killed himself at work nine months later, but Channel 12 gave no further details.
In a statement, Mossad said it was learning from this series of suicides and working to improve existing mechanisms and tools to prevent future suicides. Mossad has always been volatile, especially during the most recent period. Another report from channel 13 in November stated that three senior Mossad officials, whose rank was equivalent to a lieutenant, resigned following adjustments made by the new Mossad chief. Israeli writer; Corin El-Baz Alush, writes in a column in Yedioth Ahronoth about the increasing demand for IOF [Israeli Occupation Forces] soldiers for mental health assistance. The numbers jumped especially between 2013-2020 after IOF removed occupation soldiers from their normal lives and isolated them.
