Newcomer to Fortnite: How to play with other players, and why you keep starting up alone in a squad

Every day newcomers arrive at Fortnite, and I'm one of them. No matter how many games I started, I was always alone in the duo/trio/team. Why does this happen and how to play with other players?

Let me tell you right away that the interface in Fortnite, although friendly, is not very logical. It was the one that stumped me when I tried to play as a team. And now I'll tell you how it happened.

But first, about why play in a pair or squad at all? I don't really like the single-player mode, because I want to feel like you have cover. And if anything, your partner can pick you up or revive you. Plus, the gameplay in Fortnite gets livelier - players are less likely to "rat", knowing that their comrades are around, and more likely to engage in open firefights.

Not everyone likes Fortnite, and therefore playing with friends in Battle Royale will not work for everyone. This is where random players come to the rescue, who must fill slots when searching for a match.

When selecting duo/trio/team mode, there are two options to the right under the "Play" button: "Fill" and "Don't Fill". Using my logic, I come to the conclusion that I need to click on the little "Fill" button and then "Play" to start the squad filling and start the game.

But that's not the case. Apparently, the developers intended the interface so that if you see "Fill" on the screen, then the empty slots will be filled by random gamers. And if you see "Do Not Fill" on the screen, you will be left alone against full squads.

All in all, felt like a cancer and a nub, but everyone was a newcomer to Fortnite once. So again, briefly on how to play with other random players in Fortnite:

- choose duo/trio/team in game modes.

- Make sure the "Fill" button is visible on the screen (if it says "Do Not Fill", then click on the button to make it change to "Fill")

- Click "Play."

That's it, now you will not be alone. But teammates are different. Some get away while waiting for players - if you're unlucky, you can all leave.

And I got a comrade who tried to destroy the guard OP, but he turned out to be stronger every time. Even when I picked up the player, he again ran to fight the guard... And again he was knocked down. That's when I realized that team play with randoms isn't always going to be perfect.
