Nigeria Top Government Official Commits Suicide After Receiving Invitation From Economic And Financial Crimes Commission

Acccording to the reports,the homicide detectives department of the Nigerian police force are investigating the reasons surrounding the death of a 59-year-old top government official, identified as Christopher Orji.

It was gathered that Orji's lifeless body was found dangling from the rope tied to a ceiling fan in his bedroom at his residence situated inside the Federal Housing Authority Estate,Lugbe,Abuja,on August 30th,2021,at around 4pm.

Investigations however, revealed that Orji,until his death was an assistant director of the National Biotechnology Development Agency (NABDA).

He was said to be the NABDA's Bioresource Centre coordinator in Langtang, Plateau state, Nigeria.

Acccording to sources,late Orji had been invited by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to appear at it's Abuja office on the day he was found dead.

The EFCC is a federal government agency responsible for investigating financial misappropriation, acquisitions,and otherĀ  related matters in Nigeria.
