No registration, 160 km on a single charge, price Rs 64,000; Crayon Motors with NV

Electric two-wheeler maker Crayon Motors' second e-scooter goes on sale.  The electric scooter, dubbed the NV, has a showroom price of Rs 64,000 (subject to local changes based on taxes and exemptions);  The NV is available in white, blue, black and silver.

Crayon Motors' NV comes with a two year warranty on both the controller and the motor.  There are over 100 centers for scooter sales in the country.  The NV comes with digital speedometer, geo-tagging, keyless start, mobile charging and central locking.  There is also a reverse assist to help you park the vehicle effortlessly.

Crayon Motors claims that the design of the NV is inspired by nature.  The company owes nature to its dual headlamps and lion-powered construction.  The e-scooter also has a single seat to make the journey more comfortable.  Coming with disc brakes, tubeless tires, ample storage space and 150mm ground clearance, the NV is powered by a 250 watt, brushless DC motor.  The maximum speed of the NV is 25 kilometers per hour.  Therefore, registration is not required to drive a vehicle.  Cryon Motors promises that the scooter will cover 160 km on a single charge.

Mayank Jain, co-founder and director of Crayon Motors, revealed that the NV is an eco-friendly e-scooter designed and launched by the company's own research and development division.  He added that the progressive and attractive ‘NV’ would be a perfect partner for pollution-free short-distance travel.  Jain also said that Bajaj Finserv, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ShopCay, PayTail, Manappuram Finance and Zest Money have entered into agreements to provide attractive loans to NV.
