Our house was slow to move in.

Our house was slow to move in. It turned into a long construction project: no interior finishing, no heating. There was electricity, cold water and sewerage. A criminal case was filed against the builder, as it turned out, he had a couple dozen such unfinished houses. He raised a box, roofed it, sold apartments, and then fed people with promises. To this day, we still heat with electric heaters. Fortunately this is Krasnodar, the winters are warm. By the way, this winter there was no snow at all, and minus temperatures (-4-5°C) only dropped at night. Even puddles didn't freeze over, they were only covered with a thin crust of ice, which melted in the morning.

That is why only people who really had no one to move to the house were able to move in. At that time out of 42 apartments only 7 were occupied. During the January vacations, of course, everyone left for their relatives - why should I sit in a cold house? So I left for the countryside. And so, on January 3 I got a call from my neighbor Elena from the second floor, who was the first one to move in after me. My voice is hysterical, almost shouting, turning into sobs. She tells me: they took their two daughters to their grandparents in Stavropol, and she and her husband decided to come back and do some repairs. They drove up to the house. Lena went into the house, and sent her husband with a list to the store. Next I quote: "I opened the lock of the front door, went up to myself (to the second floor), and here as someone runs up the stairs, as if to stomp! There's no one in the house!!! Everyone in the group signed off that they were leaving. I rushed into the apartment, locked the door from the inside, and called my husband to hurry him back and dialed you. It's "That", from the fourth running??? I'm scared! What should I do?"

I calmed her down as best I could, and then her husband Vitalik came in. We interrupted the dialogue. Nothing bad happened to the neighbor, except a fright.
