Pixar, together with Disney, released the first trailer of the spin-off animated film "Toy Story," which will tell the origin story of astronaut Buzz Lightyear. The sci-fi animated film is titled "Lighter."
The clip was published on Pixar's official YouTube channel on Wednesday, Oct. 27.
The sci-fi adventure is "the definitive origin story of Buzz Lightyear -- the character who inspired the toy -- introduces the legendary space ranger who will win over generations of fans," according to a company statement.
The main character is voiced by actor Chris Evans, known for his role as Captain America in Marvel comics. The cartoon was directed by Angus McLean.
The world premiere of "Lightyear" is scheduled for June 17, 2022.
