Pizza is a frequent guest in my house, and I usually bake it on Saturdays. Now I make it a little less often, but it's still one of my favorites. Mushroom and sausage pizza is one of our most popular and my boys, my husband and son, believe that there is never too much sausage. I usually use 2 or 3 types of sausage.

Pizza is a good way to start the day. You can eat it in the morning with a cup of coffee, have a snack at lunch, take it to a picnic, to work or give it to your child at school. With pizza you can have fun while watching an interesting movie or TV show.

There are many options for making pizza dough. I have tried different ones and so far have settled on the following: sift 450 grams of flour into a bowl, add sugar, salt and dry yeast. Stir the ingredients.

Mix the flour, yeast and sugar.

Pour in warm water and olive oil. Knead the dough with a spatula as much as possible, then continue kneading with your hands.

Pour in water and oil.

While kneading by hand add remaining flour. The dough should be soft and not sticky to your hands. Cover the bowl with a lid and leave it in a warm place for 30 minutes. This is enough dough for two large pizzas.

Knead the dough

While the dough is warming, prepare all the ingredients for the toppings. I used salami and cooked smoked sausage. I sliced the former in circles, and the latter in julienne.

Slice the sausage.

Now slice the mushrooms. I used two kinds: mushrooms and pickled homemade oyster mushrooms for spiciness. Mushrooms slice into slices, onion quarter rings and fry them in sunflower oil, allow to cool. Slice the oyster mushrooms into sticks.

Slice and fry the mushrooms.

Grease the tray with sunflower oil, divide the dough in half and roll one part into a flapjack.

To tell you the truth, I always make square pizzas, I do not like when the place on the baking tray is "empty", but today for the sake of aesthetic pleasure I cooked a round pizza. You can make a second pizza with a different topping or put the dough in a bag and put it in the fridge.

Roll out the dough

Brush the dough with olive oil and then tomato paste or sauce.

Brush with sauce.

Arrange sausage and mushrooms randomly on top.

Arrange mushrooms and sausage.

Sprinkle with oregano, basil and grated cheese.

Sprinkle with cheese.

Preheat the oven to 250 degrees and bake the pizza for 8-10 minutes, depending on how crispy you want the top.

Bake the pizza.

The mushroom and sausage pizza is ready. Transfer the pizza to a plate, you can sprinkle with herbs and cut into portions.
