Pooh - a cat that was given the ability to walk

A cat named Pooh, like all other cats, loved to walk, climb trees, watch the neighboring dogs, and hunt birds. But one day Pooh was hit by a car - the wheel ran over his back paws. The cat had only enough strength to crawl to the doorstep of the nearest house, where people found him.

They did not hesitate to call the vet. The down was lucky - he came into the hands of Dr. Vladislav Zlatinov. Usually they put an unfortunate animal to sleep in case of such trauma, but the veterinarian decided to perform a complicated surgery - to amputate the hind limbs of the animal and replace them with titanium prostheses.

Soon the implants, made especially for Pooh, were inserted into the bones, and on top of them were put on covers that would need to be replaced as they wore out.

Despite the anxiety of his doctors and owners, Pooh accepted his artificial limbs without any problems - after adjusting to them for a few days, the happy cat began to play and walk, and then to run. Pooh now has no problem jumping on chairs, jumping over obstacles, and even standing on his hind legs when he plays.

Pooh lives in a shelter in Sofia, but hopefully, as you read these lines, the cat has found owners who will take care of him for life - Pooh needs to visit the vet regularly to have his implants checked.

Vladislav Zlatinov hopes that the unique surgery performed by him (there were only a few similar operations performed in the world) will be an example for other veterinarians and the animals who lost limbs will be able to stand on their feet again.
