Roses from meat

Instead of patties for the holiday table, we make meat tortillas, supplemented with vegetables. They are much tastier, richer and juicier than usual cutlets, as well as the dish comes out more appetizing. As vegetables, we use grated potatoes, as well as a carrot and onion mixture. Bake the cutlets in the oven under a cheese crust. The dish is served in portions, you can with or without a side dish.


 Stuffing - 400 g.

Onions - 2 pcs.

Corn flour - 1 tbsp.

Potatoes - 400 gr.

Carrots - 1 pc.

Cheese - 100 gr.

Sour cream - 3 tbsp.

Mayonnaise - 3 tbsp.

Salt, pepper - to taste


Rinse and peel vegetables. One onion is cut into small cubes, throw it in a heated oil pan, fry a few minutes until translucent. Use as little oil as possible.

Grate carrots on a fine grater, add to the onions. Fry the vegetables in oil until soft, 3 to 4 minutes. Keep the heat on medium, stir the mixture with a spatula.

Peel potato tubers, grate them finely, place in a deep bowl, sprinkle with salt, stir, set aside for 10 minutes to allow the potatoes to drain.

Grate the second onion and add to the minced meat. Add corn flour and spices - salt and ground pepper.

Mix the mixture thoroughly with your hands, combining all ingredients.

Dampen your hands with water, form minced meat cutlets of equal size, put them on a baking tray covered with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Press the cutlets into tortillas by hand.

Squeeze the potatoes from the liquid and place them on the meat cakes.

Place vegetable paste on top, spreading it all over the pieces.

Mix sour cream with mayonnaise, add salt, mix. Put the sauce in a pastry bag with a small hole. Make a thin spiral of the sauce in a circle on the cutlets with the filling.

Put the tray in an oven heated to 180 degrees, bake for 35 minutes until soft. After time take cutlets out of the oven, sprinkle with grated cheese, put in the oven for 10 minutes more so that the cheese melts completely.

 Serve the dish to the table, both with a side dish and on its own. Decorate with fresh herbs.
