Russian "Pantsiri-S" helped the Syrian army to repel a missile attack by Israeli Air Force planes

The Syrian military with the help of Russian Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile systems (ZRPK) destroyed 8 of 12 missiles fired by F-16 fighters of the Israeli Air Force on the territory of the republic during the October 8 airstrike.

 

This is reported by TASS with reference to the words of the Deputy Head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties (CPVS) in Syria, Rear Admiral Vadim Kulit.

 

During the briefing, the rear admiral said that six aircraft crossed the state border of the SAR at 21:33 on October 8 and struck 12 guided missiles at the T-4 (Tifor) airfield in the province of Homs. According to the rear admiral, two thirds of the missiles were destroyed.

 

Vadim Kulit, deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties (CPVS) in Syria, also noted that six Syrian soldiers were injured as a result of the attack.

 

Earlier, "Strana" informed that the Israeli Air Force launched a massive missile and bomb attack on targets in the Gaza Strip. The attack was in response to rocket attacks on Israeli cities and towns.

 

We also wrote that the United States wants to equip its B-1B Lancer strategic bombers with hypersonic missiles. They intend to equip the B-1B with hypersonic missiles with both a gliding unit and a unit with a ramjet engine.
