Both of Samsung's upcoming foldable flagships have been at the centre of a lot of leaks and rumours over the past few months and are expected to be priced lower than their predecessors. Now, the latest leak suggests that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will feature a 6.2-inch display on the outside and a 2.6-ich display on the inside.

In an image that appeared online (since removed by Samsung), the Galaxy Z3 Fold 3 had an oddity with the orientation of the display. Instead of being a regular flat screen on one side and a folded screen on the other, the device is shown with the flat part on one side and a foldable phone on the other. It is unclear whether the company is considering a four-side display on the Galaxy Z3 or whether this render has been created using guesswork. However, the information is still useful in understanding the positioning of the display. Additionally, the device also features a USB Type-C port and no 3.5mm headphone jack. The latest leak about the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 suggests that the phone will pack a 6.2-inch display on the outside and a 2.6-inch display on the inside, when it is opened. Samsung's first foldable phone will have a 90% screen-to-body ratio and a whopping 91% screen-to-surface ratio, according to a tweet from Dutch website MobielKopen. The phone's dimensions have also been listed in the leak, giving us a clear picture of how the device will look like when it is folded. As we mentioned, Samsung is rumoured to launch two foldable phones at its upcoming event, the Galaxy Z and the Galaxy Z Plus. The Galaxy Z is expected to be priced around the $1,850 mark and the Galaxy Z Plus is rumoured to cost around $1,850, hence the difference in the size of the display.

Release Date and Pricing

While these phones are scheduled to launch on February 20, reports claim that the Galaxy Fold 3 could be priced under Rs. 50,000. According to a report by @UniverseIce, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 will come in blue, white and black colour options and will be exclusive to Amazon. Samsung Galaxy Z4, on the other hand, will also reportedly come in blue and black colour options, but will only be available for purchase on Samsung's official online store. Launch Features If the rumours are true, both the smartphones will feature identical displays with dual edge curved design and will have the screen stretch to the back panel. The upper half of the smartphone will house the sensors and camera sensor, whereas the bottom will be used to hold the stylus of the handset.

Specifications and Features

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 will be the flagship model from Samsung. It will be the first foldable smartphone from the company and it will offer a screen that can fold inwards to form a 7.3-inch display. There will be two displays on the outside of the handset, both of which will sport a resolution of 1440x2880 pixels. The exact specifications of the foldable phone are not yet known, but leaks have suggested that it will come with a dual camera setup at the back, 8-megapixel selfie camera and a front-facing speaker. It will run Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box and the display will be powered by a Snapdragon 845 SoC. The handset is expected to be launched at the company's Unpacked event on February 20 and pre-bookings will start at the start of March.

Conclusion

As it turns out, Samsung's Galaxy F foldable smartphone will sport a 6.7-inch display on the outside and a 2.68-inch display on the inside, if we go by the current leak, which was published by Slashleaks. Apart from this, there is no mention of the dimensions or weight of the upcoming device, but we are expecting it to have a similar display size to the Galaxy F, which will sport a 6.44-inch screen on the outside, and a 2.68-inch display on the inside. As for the specifications, both the upcoming devices are expected to sport an AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, 6GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of inbuilt storage.
