It is approaching the holidays, and manufacturers are already making plans for next year. Samsung is no exception. According to TheElec, its smartphone market share is expected to reach 21.9% by the end of 2022. It plans to sell 1.52 billion smartphones and the increase should be about 7.6% compared to this year.
In order to achieve its vision, Samsung will conduct aggressive marketing campaigns and hopes to fill the niche previously occupied by Huawei devices. The South Korean giant believes that the Chinese company's share is not yet fully shared between market players.
The source also revealed what and when Samsung will be launching new products. For example, the company will show the Galaxy S21 FE smartphone at CES in January 2022. In February, it will hold its annual winter Unpacked event, where it will unveil the flagship Galaxy S22 family. It plans to sell a total of 33 million devices in the series, of which 14 million are expected to come from the Galaxy S22, 11 million from the Galaxy S22 Ultra and 8 million from the Galaxy S22+.
The Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A53 are scheduled to premiere in March 2022, the Galaxy A23 is due to be shown in April and the Galaxy A73, which will debut in May, will complete the series of spring premieres. The company plans to ship 267 million Galaxy A20 and Galaxy A30 series devices over the next year. The Galaxy A50 and Galaxy A70 ranges are betting less, with 92 million models delivered in 2022.
