During the Partner-2021 exhibition in Belgrade, Serbia, Yugoimport (Yugoimport) unveiled new versions of the Lazar III A1 armored personnel carrier. The Serbian armored vehicles received Russian weapons as part of the new combat modules.
The new version of Lazar III was equipped with a remotely controlled combat module 32B01 with a 30 millimeter cannon. Also on display was a version with an unmanned combat module, which received a 57 millimeter caliber gun.
The Lazar III armored personnel carrier is in service with the Serbian Army and Gendarmerie. The standard version is equipped with a remotely controlled combat module with a large-caliber machine gun. The new version Lazar III with heavy armament allows us to classify the vehicle in the category of infantry fighting vehicles (IFV).
The Russian combat modules will increase the firepower and export potential of the Lazar III. This will allow it to fight the full range of targets on the battlefield, with the exception of heavy armored vehicles.
Earlier, it became known about the beginning of tests of a new coating for Russian armored vehicles. The development will allow the color to change, adjusting to the surrounding landscape.
In September, the Russian military used the new BMP B-19 at the exercise "West-2021". The vehicle received the "Epoch" combat module with a 57 millimeter automatic gun and two types of missiles.
