Shakira says wild boars attacked her, stealing her purse in Barcelona park

"Look at the two wild boars who attacked me in the park and left my purse behind," Shakira told her more than 70 million Instagram followers as she picked up her torn bag.

Shakira said a pair of wild boars attacked her and snatched her purse while she was walking in a park in Spain with her son.

The Grammy Award-winning singer recounted the ordeal Wednesday in a series of videos posted to her Instagram story.

"Look at the two wild boars who attacked me in the park and left my bag behind," Shakira told her more than 70 million followers in one video, picking up her torn bag.

Images and videos posted to Instagram disappear after 24 hours, but the BBC reported that she was in a park in Barcelona at the time of the incident.

"They were taking my bag into the woods with my cell phone in it," Shakira said. "They destroyed everything."

She then encouraged Milan, her 8-year-old son, to take part in the attack.

"Milan, tell the truth," she told him. "Tell me how your mother stood up to a wild boar."

The BBC reported that Barcelona has seen an influx of wild boars in recent years. The animals are attracted to cities where they live on scraps.
