Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Reportedly Hot Because of This

Earlier this month, Qualcomm launched its newest chipset product, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Some time later, the benchmark results from the chipset were leaked to the public. This latest Qualcomm chipset is known to have Multi Core and Single Core performance which is 20 percent faster than its predecessor series, Snapdragon 888. Unfortunately, this performance increase actually affects one of the important factors on the chipset, namely temperature. A trusted leaker, Ice Universe gave a leak about the performance of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 when it was launched all-out. Through his Twitter account, he mentioned that Qualcomm's latest chipset has a temperature problem.

"On Moto phones, the extreme test of Snapdragon 8 Gen1 is very hot. Prepare yourself mentally because 2022 will probably be a HOOOT year for Android phones," he wrote.

The smartphone tested by the leakers is the Moto Edge X30. This smartphone is the first phone to officially use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Chipset. Motorola also beat other big names such as Xiaomi and ZTE in the initial release of smartphones with the new Qualcomm Chipset.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Allegedly Has a Thermal Throttling Problem. However, the information from Ice Universe is suspected to be due to 'Throttling Issues' or temperature handling problems. For those who don't know, Throttling Issues or Thermal Throttling is a problem that is often experienced on smartphones with new Chipsets. Thermal Throttling itself is basically an order to CPU to regulate the power that comes out so as not to overheat. Every new generation chipset will certainly have a performance increase so that the hardware may not be able to escape from heat problems. Beyond that, there is not much strong evidence that reveals the problem with this new Qualcomm chipset. , for now, it's too early to say that Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is 'hot
