Spiritualism & Spiritism. Difference & benefits

Spiritualism and spiritism are two related but distinct metaphysical schools of thought that deal with the possibility of communication with spirits of dead people. Spiritualism existed before spiritism and thus spiritism can be considered an offshoot of spiritualism but with a different mission. Spiritualism is more focused on exploring the unusual phenomena of spirit contact, while spiritism is more oriented towards supporting spiritual evolution in concrete ways. Spiritualists understand God as infinite intelligence, while spiritists follow the teachings of Allan Kardec, who codified a set of principles based on the messages he received from spirits. Both spiritualists and spiritists believe that spirits are capable of providing useful insight regarding moral and ethical issues, as well as about the nature of God. They also believe that spirits continue to evolve through higher spheres or planes after death, and that anyone can become a medium through study and practice.

Difference between Spiritualism & Spiritism-:

Spiritualism and Spiritism are two related but distinct belief systems.

Spiritualism is a belief system that emphasizes the existence of spirits and the ability of humans to communicate with them. This communication usually takes place through mediums, who are individuals believed to have the ability to contact spirits from the afterlife. Spiritualists believe that spirits are able to provide guidance, comfort, and messages to the living, and that death is not the end of human existence.

Spiritism, on the other hand, is a philosophical and spiritual belief system that originated in the 19th century in France. It was founded by Allan Kardec, who believed in the communication with spirits and the existence of an afterlife. However, Spiritism is more focused on the study of the spiritual realm, including the nature of the soul, the process of reincarnation, and the moral and ethical implications of human behavior. Spiritists believe in the concept of karma, the idea that one's actions in life will determine their fate in the afterlife, and they also believe in the importance of personal responsibility and self-improvement.

Ectoplasm is Spiritualist Hoax.

Ectoplasm is a term that has been used in the past to refer to a supposed physical substance that was believed to emanate from mediums during spiritualistic seances. It was believed that this substance was a manifestation of spiritual energy or even spirits themselves.

Ectoplasm was often described as a viscous, gelatinous substance that could take on different forms, such as a mist, a cloud, or even a solid shape. Some mediums claimed that they could produce ectoplasm from their mouths, noses, or other bodily orifices during a trance state.

However, the scientific community largely dismissed the idea of ectoplasm as a fraudulent hoax perpetuated by unscrupulous mediums. Investigations by skeptics and scientists revealed that ectoplasm was often made of ordinary materials such as cheesecloth, egg whites, paper, or other substances that could be easily hidden or manipulated.

Today, the concept of ectoplasm is generally regarded as a relic of the spiritualist movement of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and is not considered a legitimate scientific phenomenon.
