The most common skin problem affecting people between the ages of 12 and 24 is called acne. Excess secretion of sebaceous glands, is believed to produce acne problems. Due to hormonal imbalance, diet, stress, and skin type, the sebaceous glands can secrete extra oil. This excess oil also clogs the skin pores, and causes acne.
Oily skin is most prone to acne, while dry and normal skin is less prone to acne.
Around 60 million people worldwide experience acne-related problems. Acne is a common adolescent skin condition. Acne development is influenced by a variety of variables.
Junk foods like fried foods, candies, chocolates, sweets, and carbonated drinks also play a role in acne breakouts.
Studies show that heredity also plays a role in determining who develops acne. Children of parents, who had or have no acne, are at a lesser threat of developing acne than others. But it doesn't guarantee you that you'll get it instead if you have a better chance of having it.
Acne isn't yet fully curable, but we can prevent with numerous acne skin care techniques.
However, it is advisable to use the following ten straightforward suggestions for both treatment and prevention:
1. One must eat a healthy, balanced, and simple diet with all the essential nutrients and avoid junk food.
2. Drink plenty of water and eat fresh fruit. Fresh fruit contains a large quantity of water.
3. Applying makeup isn't recommended.
4. Wash your face with mild soap and water. The reason for using mild soap is to remove redundant sebum from the skin, as it's the main cause of acne.
5. Use hot water to wash your face to remove redundant oil, and use topical cleansing pads that contain one or a combination of salicylic acid, sulphur, and benzoyl peroxide to remove excess oil.
6. Don't use harsh cleaning agents or scrub the affected area forcefully. Treat your skin gently.
7. Don't touch your face with dirty hands. Avoid popping pimples. A pimple indicates trapped oil, sebum, and bacteria. They can bring about infection, acne and leave scars.
8. Tie up your long hair to keep it out of your face. It is necessary for hot weather to prevent sweating.
9. Don't use oil-based products, creams, or moisturizers, as they clog pores and escalate the problem.
10. Use water-based cosmetics. Water-based cosmetics are good for oily skin.
These preventive tips are just as important as the acne treatment itself. At least your acne problem will not get worse with these preventions. People can adjust their food and lifestyle to enhance good condition of their skin. Proper hygiene will help with healthy skin. Anyone with acne should take extra care to cleanse duly. Do not wash your face over and over again. It'll irritate your skin and make it more prone to acne or infection. Be stress-free and happy. When you're happy, your inner happiness and health will light up your face. Think beautiful, look beautiful.
