The benefits of garlic

Popular with cooks around the world and often essential for spicing up a dish, garlic is also an effective ally in maintaining health.

Here are some of its virtues, prized since Antiquity :

FIGHT MICROBES, VIRUSES AND INFECTIONS

Garlic is a real medicine, thanks to its antimicrobial, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, antifungal and even antiviral properties.

It is therefore advisable to consume it to fight against ailments and infectious diseases such as the common cold, sore throat or angina.

PROTECTS THE SKIN

The antieptic properties of garlic also make it an ally to maintain the health of its skin.

It is effective against acne and warts, but also psoriasis (it contains sulfuric compounds which calm inflammation).

AID IN DIGESTION

Garlic contains phenolic acids, which have the ability to cleanse and purify the digestive system from the inside out.

And it's also loaded with inulin, a prebiotic, and fructans, a fiber, which help fight digestive discomfort and restore intestinal flora.

Garlic is also a remedy for food poisoning, especially those caused by salmonellosis.

HELPS KEEP THE LINE

Rich in protein and carbohydrates, while having very little fat, garlic is a nutritional superfood.

It helps to stimulate the metabolism, and therefore to burn more calories and to eliminate more quickly the excesses via the urine.

In addition, it sends signals of fullness to the brain, which can prevent your eyes from getting bigger than your stomach.

FIGHTS HYPERTENSION

The adenosine contained in garlic cloves have a vasodilator effect, allowing better blood circulation and thus helping to fight against hypertension.

FIGHT AGAINST CHOLESTEROL

The allicin in garlic helps to lower cholesterol levels in the blood.

PREVENTS CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES

The compounds in garlic also help reduce atherosclerotic plaques, made up of cholesterol in particular, which build up on the walls of the arteries, increasing the risk of cardiovascular accidents.

Garlic would thus protect the aorta, the central artery of our body.

Studies have shown that atherosclerosis progresses three times slower in people at risk consuming garlic than in people at risk not consuming it.

HELPS PREVENT CANCER

Thanks to the sulfur compounds of allicin, garlic helps to slow down the proliferation of cancer cells and protects the body from certain carcinogenic agents as well as from the action of free radicals, in particular those involved in cancers of the estmac and

of the intestine.

FIGHTS NEUROGENERATIVE DISEASES

Garlic helps to renew the intestinal microbite, flora directly connected to the brain via the vagus nerve, and thus acts directly on it, helping to prevent neurodegenerative diseases.
