As promised, Netflix unveiled the 90-second first trailer for the first half of Money Heist season 5 on Monday, giving us a glimpse at what to expect from the upcoming final season of Álex Pina's hit Spanish thriller series — known as La casa de papel to Spanish-speaking viewers. In it, the Spanish authorities send in the military after the cop Alicia Sierra (Najwa Nimri) gains the upper hand by arresting The Professor (Álvaro Morte). There's no local-language version of the Money Heist season 5 trailer, be it Hindi, Tamil or Telugu.

The Spanish police were after the mastermind behind the multi-million dollar heist that rocked the city of Barcelona, and they never gave up on finding him. The authorities finally found out who the mastermind was and they caught him in the season 4 finale. However, it's now the time to follow The Professor through all the events that led to the crime. The Netflix trailer does not tell much about what has happened to The Professor, or if there will be any new characters. The official synopsis from Netflix for Money Heist season 5 reads, "The hunt for the mastermind of the prison heist continues. As the prison begins to break down, the authorities call in the military for reinforcements and tensions rise between the inmates.

 

The Five-Episode Volume 1 Releases in a Month

Although it is not been confirmed by Netflix, we already know the official release date of the second half of Money Heist season 5. According to the Information Portal (IP), Netflix will release the third episode of Money Heist season 5 on December 12, the fourth episode on December 20, the fifth and the final episode on December 27. It revolves around a group of robbers and jewel thieves, who team up with an IT expert to pull off an elaborate heist by stealing millions from the Bank of Spain. What to expect from Money Heist season 5

The video opens with a young boy saying, "I'm gonna break your camera" as he sends a text message from his new phone. And that's how the story for Money Heist season 5 starts. The events that will unfold in the first episode will unfold from a text message sent from the smartphone of a minor character, while the rest of the episodes will follow up on the action as it unfolds, according to Netflix. The first six episodes of the final season will be aired in a mini-season, with the remaining four episodes releasing simultaneously as part of a single season 5 drop. The entire season will have eight episodes, taking up two full seasons of the show.
